At Green Chair Counselling Service we will periodically be looking for qualified or trainee therapists to join our team. We operate a busy and modern practice and can offer our therapists an opportunity to grow, develop their skills and be part of a fantastic team. We collaborate, meet regularly and work together to offer our clients the best possible service. If you feel you could add benefit to our team, we want to hear from you.

In order to join our team we require therapists to hold all of the relevant documentation, without exception:

Membership to a PSA regulated counselling membership body e.g BACP, NCPS, UKCP

Enhanced DBS certificate for working with adults & children. Must be dated within the last 3 years otherwise we can facilitate obtaining a new certificate for you

Membership to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for GDPR purposes

Valid indemnity insurance for counselling & psychotherapy

Be working with a supervisor for a minimum of 90 minutes per calendar month (details need to be provided)

Have a Clinical Will in place in case of your death or incapacitation

Online software for all notes storage as Green Chair Counselling Service doesn't allow any notes or client details to be stored on paper ​

All therapists are also required to have a professional photograph and bio for our website as well as their own directory profiles.

Qualified therapists pay a room rental fee per session with invoices paid in arrears for work completed that month. Referrals will be made through Green Chair managed profiles and also individual profiles for each therapist. All roles are on a self-employed contractor basis.

All student placement positions are voluntary, however, Lauren covers the cost of your supervision for the duration of your student placement, 1 session per month. Students are required to have the above documentation and additionally provide their therapists and course details for verification.
